4 Things To Consider Before Joining A Network Marketing Comapny
One of the biggest reasons that Network Marketers quit is that they joined a bad company. Although a network marketing company itself cannot determine your successchoosing the right company is an important step in becoming a successful Network Marketer.Take a moment to consider these5 things before joining a networkmarketing opportunity…or to evaluate your current networkmarketing opportunity.
The Product or Service. What is the product/service? Is there a good market for it?Is it something that can be used bymen and women of all ages? Is there a quality guarantee? Isit a product or service that peoplewho are not interested inthe business will purchase either at retail price or through a buyer’s club or preferred customer program?
These are all important questions to consider. You want to make sure that there is a good marketforproduct or service that you promoteand that the quality is superior. After all you don’t want your good name associated with an inferior product or service!
The Company. Examine the company itself. Who is on the management team? Do they have a proven track record? What is the reputation of the company within its industry? Is the company financially solid or is it drowning in debt? Has the company been able to weather economic downturns in the past?
It’s important to know that the company you align yourself with has a skilled management team who will make wise decisions and lead the company in the right direction. You don’t want your company to be one of the many network marketing companies that fall apart taking many peoples’ dreams with them.
The Compensation Plan. Although you aren’t likely to attract new prospects simply because of the great compensation plan offered by a company it is important to know how your efforts will be compensated. Is there pressure to frontload new distributors? Can a distributor make a decent income with parttime effort? Does the plan promote depth or width? Does the compensation plan foster teamwork?
The first network marketing company I was involved with actually told new distributors not to worry about the compensation plan. They said it was too complicated to understand but the people who calculated our checks understood…we could trust them. I never did feel comfortable saying that to prospects which is probably one of the reasons I moved on and found a company with a compensation plan that I could not only understand but a plan that gave me a better earning potential.
TheTeam. It is important to be a part of a team that will help you achieve the success you want. The most important thing you should consider about the team you will join is the level of integrity they exhibit. Do they conduct business and recruit honestly or do they engage in deceitful practices? Do they encourage participation without pressure and micromanaging? Do they provide training and help for new distributors? Do you connect with the people on the team?
Choosing a team whose values and goals are compatible with yours will be extremely helpful as you work to build a successful network marketing business.
