Why MLM Sales Matter To Your Success?

Many marketers involved in an MLM opportunity make the big mistake of discounting the value of customers to their business and instead concentrate 100 on amassing a huge downline. This tactic besides bringing a bad name to the whole industry can hurt the distributors who practice it both short and longterm in their efforts to succeed. If you incorporate product sales to you business model there are a lot of advantages that a customer base can bring.

It’s easier to sell the product than the opportunity.

100 of the people are buying products while only a small percentage may be interested in starting their own business. Those who say otherwise probably never tried to sell one.

You have less competition.

Since most distributors are putting almost a 100 of their effort into recruiting new members into their organization forgetting about the sales practically you won’t have any competition when you try to push the product.

It brings more stability to your income.

These days with all those opportunity seekers hopping from one opportunity to another chasing the next big thing to try to build an organization is like trying to fill a bucket full of holes. On the other hand it’s easier to acquire loyal customers despite the big number of products that are chasing his wallet than to retain a distributor. What’s more it’s even easier to build a stream of traffic on the web that you can convert to sales without worrying to much about the performance of your downline.

It gives you credibility.

Imagine someone trying to persuade you to join his business opportunity promising you that he would help you to make money and become financially free and all you have to do is to let him teach you. Yet he doesn’t still make a dime from his business. Would you let him teach you how to become successful like him?

It helps you to recruit more people.

Imagine two people trying to recruit you and while the first one still struggles without making any profit the second one has a nice income coming from his business to show off. Whom you would choose? If you only concentrate on getting distributors you can run into a paradox. If you have no downline you make no money and if you make no money no one would join under you. They only way to get out of it is by selling products.

You can better help those you sponsor.

Since you already make money from customers you can teach those you sponsor how to do so helping them getting quicker into profits which leads to..

Your downline gets motivated.

Bringing your first dollar home is the turning point where your business gets into a self sustained motion and growth. The feeling you get from your small victory motivates you to work harder and as a result you become more successful and more motivated to keep on moving forward.

Less distributors would quit.

When you have motivated people in your downline that are making a profit the number of those who quit gets smaller. You no longer have to fight the attrition that is associated with the MLM industry. And finally..

You make more money.

What’s better? 1000 distributors in your organization which are struggling to make a profit bringing you 10 each every month while you put most of your energy in trying to prevent them from quiting or 100 hard working self motivated ones bringing you 1000 each? Having a big downline with hundreds of distributors is no guarantee that you would make a lot of money. A smaller but more efficient team who knows what is doing is a better guarantee and can bring you more money while you won’t have to worry for any dropouts.

Why MLM Is Broken And How The Web Provides The Fix

One of the biggest problems with the traditional multilevel marketing MLM business model today is generating enough qualified leads and quickly converting those leads into memberships.

As anyone in MLM knows prospecting is the most timeconsuming aspect of the business. First you build the list of friends relatives neighbors coworkers etc. basically everyone you know or used to know. You talk personally with each of these people about your business opportunity until they either join you or they tell you to go away. Most of them tell you to go away. You need to keep adding to this list as you meet new people in your daily travels. Most of those people also tell you to go away.

You can do some prospecting or selling to a group of people at once for example in a living room or conference room setting or in a seminarstyle presentation. This is another traditional selling method that can be somewhat effective provided you have enough qualified people you can gather together at one time. This method can be expensive depending on the location facilities needed etc. so the more people you have in the room the better your chances of profiting from this.

Most people end up buying leads from a lead service. These leads are expensive and almost always not qualified to the level they need to be. So you take your list of names and cold call everyone working first at qualifying them at some level then again trying to convince them to join you in your business opportunity. Most of these people dont want to talk to you nor do most of them even know why you are calling them.

But the biggest obstacle to success in an MLM business is the basic premise of selling people on your product your company and your compensation plan. There are hundreds of companies doing business in an MLM or network marketing type of model and many of them are selling the same basic things dietary supplements some new wonder juice fitness products personal services the list goes on. Every one of these companies has basically the same message:

  • We have the best product in the industry.
  • We have a product everybody needs.
  • We are a solid stable company.
  • We have the best compensation plan in the industry.

Boring. It is no wonder that 95 percent of MLM and network marketing business fail before they turn a profit.

There are three issues here:

  1. The Internet has rendered the traditional MLM business model ineffective for most people. You can reach people much faster and more effectively using the Internet than you can by talking with people individually or in small groups.
  2. The Internet has made lead generation almost a science if not an art form. Using the Internet you can very effectively target people who are looking for what you have and bring them to you. This means that rather than you trying to find people you can sell on bringing into your business people are contacting you asking how they can join you.
  3. Selling your product your company and your comp plan does not work. Nobody c ares that you have the best diet on the planet or that your legal service is the first and best anywhere. You are just one more MLM out there trying to shout the same message louder than everybody else.

To be successful in network marketing today you need to separate yourself from all the shouting and get above the noise. You need to stop selling product company and comp plan and sell yourself. You need to position yourself as a leader as a teacher as a successful entrepreneur as a person other people want to follow. People who join your MLM business do not join because of the product or the comp plan. They join YOU. They connect with you. They believe you. They trust you at some level. They feel that you can help them be successful. Maybe they just think you would be a cool person to hang out with. Whatever the reason it is YOU your associates are joining.

Success in sales is about building relationships. People buy from people and people follow people. But you need to let people know you are out there and where they can find you. You do that through a systematic approach to marketing. For example using Web 2.0 technology you can get your message out there for people to see hear and be inspired. Automated lead generation tools and an automated marketing system are the keys to successful marketing and rapidly building an MLM or network marketing business. The great thing about Web 2.0 is that it is basically free. You can use the web to do some serious marketing with little or no advertising budget.

There are also other marketing tools out there like Google AdWords and other payperclick PPC advertising services that are moderatetohigh cost but are extremely fast and effective when used correctly.

The website http://www.MLMBusinessLeadsEngine.com provides training in Web 2.0 technology and other methods that have been proven to energize a stagnant MLM or network marketing business. The training is extensive and absolutely free and is in the form of videos you can easily follow. They show the visitor stepbystep instructions on how take advantage of the many ways of successfully marketing yourself on the Internet.

Why Everyone Should Have A Part-Time MLM Business

In the world today it is not wise to rely on your employer or the government for a comfortable retirement.

Although the stock market average returns have historically been positive it is not guaranteed to continue to be a “safe” place for your retirement savings.

What you can do now to have a comfortable retirement is to start a parttime business that generates a residual income. So that when it is time to retire you can rely on the income of your businesses rather than the stock market.

Residual income is income that continues to be generated after an initial effort has been made.

For example if you write a bestselling book or record a hit song you would receive royalty checks for each copy of your work sold in the future. Even though it may have taken you a couple of months to write the book you will continue to get checks for years to come every time your book is sold.

But not everyone has the writing or creativity talent to write a bestselling book or record a hit song.

Everyone though has enough skills to recommend quality products or services. And that’s why I suggest everyone should get involved in a parttime MLM business.

Recommending products is something you probably do already but just do not know it.

If the MLM company you get involved with provides excellent products or services you can recommend their offerings and make a sale once and get paid on it residually for years to come. Just like if you wrote a bestselling novel!

What makes the MLM business model even better is when your customers begin to recommend the product or services to others your income can double and triple without much new work from you.

The hardest part is making the initial sale but if the company you are involved with has a good marketing and training system in place it makes your job easier.

There are various MLM business opportunities and many different products that you can offer. The list includes nutritional products cosmetics toys motivational training books house ware home cleaners and clothes.

You can use a search engine to find MLM business opportunities or you can go to a site like www.MLMConnections.com to get information on MLM businesses from independent distributors.

To be successful MLM business opportunities still take work. You will have to set aside time to run the business like any professional business person. And set some shortterm and longterm goals along with a marketing plan to make those goals realistic.

Lets say you got started in a MLM business and there was a required monthly product purchase of 200. In a worst case scenario you did not make anything during your first year with the company and during the second year you averaged 1000 a month.

So you paid 4800 200 x 24 months for your business expenses and made only 12000 1000 x 12 months giving you a profit of 7200 after 2 years.

If you were to invest 4800 into the stock market and average an excellent 20 return you would have about 5800 after 2 years. So as you can see this worst case MLM scenario beats out a best case stock market scenario.

If you are to get involved with a MLM business on a parttime basis 1015 hours a week consistently make product sales and find and train 2 to 4 new associates every month in most MLM companies you will be making a five figure monthly salary within 2 years.

This for most people would be a very comfortable retirement income!
